Instructional Technology Tips for Students: Microsoft Office 365

This page provides information on technology used at the UNT Dallas College of Law, including tutorials, troubleshooting information, and contact information for further assistance

Accessing Office

All students, faculty, and staff have access to MS Office 365. You can utilize the web version of the Microsoft Office applications or you can download and install the major applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Users also have online storage through OneDrive. We request that you use the current versions of the applications. Different versions may result in different views of the data, which may affect your papers in classes that require specific formatting, such as Legal Writing I - III.

To access MS Office, you can start by logging in to the UNT webmail system: https://webmail.unt.edu. Use your UNT Dallas email address and password (same password that you use for Canvas) to log in.

Other Office Applications can be accessed by clicking on the Microsoft Office 365 Application Viewer icon icon in the top left corner. A list of applications will be visible. Click on the application that you would like to access online. If you do not see the application, click the "All apps" link at the bottom of the list to see more options.

Installing MS Office 365 applications

You may install the desktop versions of MS Office up to 10 times.
